It is absolutely crazy to me that 2024 will be over tonight and a new year will start so very soon! 2024 was truly a transformative year in many ways for me. There were lessons that were hard to learn, life situations that were both great but difficult at the time, and a time to truly think about some of my life goals in all different areas. Regardless, 2024 was still a great year but something about the calendar physically turning to January 1st brings me so much excitement and motivation! I recently journaled some new goals and things I want to accomplish in 2025 so here’s 10 that I thought were worth sharing!

  1. My first goal in 2025 is to be creative, specifically with film photos and digital video diaries. I personally LOVE film photos and have been carting around my film camera (thank you mom and dad!) on every trip and event for around 2 years now and have gotten so many pictures developed that I absolutely love. Not only that, but I recently got into digital photos with a smaller camera (the 2000’s digital camera aesthetic) and have loved taking videos and editing them on cap cut or just making a creative project out of it. I would love to continue this hobby in 2025 and post more about the cameras I’m using and the videos I take.
  2. Spend time with the Lord everyday! This is something I lost the habit of doing in 2024 but no more for 2025. It doesn’t have to be long or serious but a prayer, a couple of versus from the bible, and just 20 minutes of quiet always makes a big difference for my day. Doing this consistently brings a lot more peace into my life and I would love to reincorporate this into my life for 2025!
  3. Cook and bake new recipes from my cookbooks and Pinterest! Something I improved on in 2024 was my cooking and baking skills. I was in the routine of making new and healthy recipes each week that I genuinely loved to cook and eat, but as life gets busy this tends to not happen as much. I would love to make this more of a habit in the new year and try different recipes from my cookbooks that I’ve acquired over the years!
  4. Less social media, less scrolling, less screen time. This year made me realize how awful consistent scrolling and social media use is for me. It gives me more anxiety, fear of the future, and comparison issues. I think everyone’s different and some people have no problem creating healthy boundaries with it, but this hasn’t been the case for me, and that’s okay! Sometimes social media can be too much and its held me back from achieving some of my goals or even just living peacefully in the moment. For 2025, I’m currently planning on cutting out as much scrolling as possible and only using Instagram to post. This seems like a harsh boundary but for me and my brain, I need the separation from it as much as possible!
  5. Be resourceful with the makeup, clothes, and products I have! There’s always so much pressure to buy the new trendy clothes or new makeup products, but I promise you (and myself) that we most likely have things that will work! I would love to be more creative with my outfits, hair, and makeup this year but that’s starts with using what I already own and love!
  6. Start writing my book. This is a huge goal for me that’s been a dream for a while now but this year feels like it could become a reality. This is something I think about daily and what it will take for me to actually write something I’m proud of and see where it goes. I have SO many different visuals in my head, characters, settings, dialogue, etc., and I know these thoughts are there for a reason! This is a sign to go write down some of those huge dreams that seem impossible and actually work towards them this year! I promise you they seem silly or unattainable in your head but the entire world is open for you and your ideas are there for a reason!
  7. Take my mental and physical health seriously this year. This can be hard in so many ways, but the first step is setting small goals. What can I do today to help my mental and physical health? It could be a daily walk, going to bed earlier, journaling, or taking supplements and vitamins. I hope that I can truly dedicate the time and resources to improving my health overall this year and taking my wellness journey seriously!
  8. Get involved in different hobbies and activities. Towards the end of this year, I started to do more creative things like bead art, puzzles, or jewelry making and I have genuinely loved every second of it! There is something so calming and relaxing about doing a hobby for no reason except fun and I think we could all use more of that this year. In my notes app is a list of around 25 hobbies that sound so fun to try so I will definitely update later throughout 2025 how my crafting journey goes and the cool things I get to make along the way!
  9. Read books for fun and for education. I have always loved reading but have found it hard to balance different genres and subjects. There’s so much content out there so I want to expand more and maybe pick up something I normally wouldn’t read or something that just looks cute and fun! There’s no rules to reading, it can be something super fun or a way to learn and improve yourself. I would love to incorporate both this year!
  10. Be consistent with the blog! This is something I am so excited to pursue in 2025 and I really would love to post weekly on here. That obviously did not happen in 2024 (sorry guys) but I have some great ideas and topics I would love to discuss and write about on here for the upcoming year. I am so grateful for all of you who have been reading so far and I can’t wait to see where 2025 will take this blog!

That’s it for my goals! If you read this far, thank you! I appreciate you being here and your support so much 🙂 Hopefully this encouraged you to set some goals for yourself or to reflect on some lessons learned in 2024.

See you all in 2025!!!!
